Financial Aid Options

Because Nu-Tek Academy of Beauty is accredited by the Council of Occupational Education (COE) and have been approved by the Department of Education (DOE), we are approved to offer Title IV financial aid to those who qualify. Nu-Tek currently offers a Pell Grant for qualifying students based upon previous year taxes.

Any student interested in attending Nu-Tek and receiving Title IV Financial Aid to cover tuition costs must completed an application for financial aid. The application can be completed online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov or in-person by making a financial aid appointment by calling (859)498-4460. Paper applications are available to be mailed to you as well.

If you have an appointment with the financial aid office, we will be able to answer any questions you may have on the application. Once the application is received by our offices, we will process your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) within 3-business days. The application will be sent to the Central Processing System (CPS) and you should receive a verification of your application by way of e-mail or street address.

Verification

If there are any discrepancies in processing, we will send you a letter or call within 3-business days of receiving the information. If a student is selected for verification, Nu-Tek gives students a deadline of 7-business days (in-state) or 10-business days (out-of-state) to complete verification. Failure to complete verification within 30 days could result in owing cash for the program. Nu-Tek is dedicated to working with its students if documents are not provided within the specified time-frame.

For your convenience, if there are any changes to be addressed/made to your Student Aid Report (SAR) please notify the school. We will process necessary information in-house.

If the result of verification changes the student award, a new award letter will be sent by mail or in-person, whichever is most convenient.

Student Records

Permanent records are kept for all students including the following:

• Grades
• Attendance
• Transcripts
• Diploma’s
• Grievances, probation forms

Dismissal Policy

A student will be dismissed for any of the following:

• Failure to abide by any policy contained in this Catalog/Student Handbook.
• Cheating, stealing, or vandalizing.
• Unprofessional conduct.
