Nu-Tek Academy of Beauty, Inc is a proprietary institution located in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. The school has been in existence since 1973. It is owned and operated by Thelma C. Horton and Rebecca H. Taylor (mother/daughter) since it's conception.

We operate a small school in a small town where people know one another and friends are abundant. The school has remained a family owned and operated institution for over 35 years.

It is the aim of this institution to graduate students who are proficient in the art of Cosmetology to the highest degree

Objectives

• To develop the student's ability as a Cosmetologist to the extent they are capable of becoming.
• To encourage educational innovation by causing awareness of the need for new ideas and techniques in relation to future design and professional changes, and
• To develop an awareness in the community in which he/she lives and works and his/her relationship to that community.
• To assist graduates passing the State Board Examination and obtain gainful employment in the field of Cosmetology.
